Dear YES Prep Northbrook Families,

Thank you for all of the love and support that you provided to your children this year and for the trust and belief that you placed in us as a staff. Because of our work together, your kids have grown tremendously, and YES Prep Northbrook has become one of the highest-preforming middle schools in all of YES Prep! I really hope that your children feel a sense of belonging at Northbrook and that they're proud of themselves for the progress they've made while climbing the mountain to college. It has been an honor to serve the Northbrook community over the past four years, and I know that the best is yet to come for your kids and for the school. Ms. Sadler and all of the teachers and leaders at Northbrook are poised to make the 22-23 school year the best one yet. But between now and then, I wish you all a safe and happy summer!

Hello, Knight families! My name is Taylor Romero and I am so excited to step into the Director of Academics position for the 2022-2023 school year. I have been with the Northbrook family for the last 8 years. In that time, I started as a seventh grade English teacher and then served as a Dean of Instruction for the last 4 years. I have loved coaching and supporting teachers, and I am looking forward to continuing that work as a DOA. I am happy to answer any questions you may have about academics or instruction at our campus. Next Year's 7th Grade Level Chair - Mrs. Lizette Picazo

I am pleased to introduce the newest member of the Student Support Team, Lizette Picazo!!! She has been an essential member of the Knight Community and we are pleased that her influence will expand across the 7th grade. Lizette has shared that her vision includes cultivating trusting relationships with students, teachers, parents, and other members of the leadership team. She wants to focus on creating an atmosphere that is supportive and encouraging for all members of our community. We are overjoyed that she has accepted this role with enthusiasm.

Summer Programming

Next week we will have the final numbers for summer programing. If you child needs to attend summer programming, you will receive communication by May 27, 2022. Houston Food Bank Service Trip

On May 21st we took 19 students to the Houston Food Bank, Including two High School students who wanted to gain some extra community service hours. The students showed up on-time, followed directions by staff, and had a great time. Below are some pictures of some moments captured doing service!
