Transportation request for the 2023-2024 School Year

It is time to request your students transportation for next year so that we can share it with transportation.
Parents, please complete this survey by next Thursday, March 10th.This should be completed by ALL current 6th & 7th grade students.

No Hoodies

We'd like to remind you of our "No Hoodie Policy". Students are not allowed to wear hoodies during the school day. Any hoodies brought to school will be confiscated. We encourage students to bring hoodless sweaters. We also have sweaters to purchase for $25 in the front office. Should you have any concerns please reach out to Kenia.Lopez@yesprep.org.

 

Food drop off for Students

Parents,when dropping off lunch for your child please do so for your child ONLY. We will not accept lunch deliveries for groups of students.

Monday, Tuesday, & Friday - Lunch is at 11:52 am

Wednesday & Thursday - Lunch is at 11:28 am

Telpas Test continued

The Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS) is an exam that all EB (Emergent bilingual) students take. The test evaluates how well students perform in 4 domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The test determines their English language abilities. Students are scored as Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, or Advanced High. Students will need to score Advanced High in all 4 parts to exit the ESL (English Second Language) program.

Students who are not EBs will participate in alternative activities on campus. Here are our following testing dates by grade level.

Knight Family Support - Lara house fire

Over the weekend one of our families lost everything in a house fire. We will be hosting a Paint Party fundraiser where we will paint our own canvas pictures to take home. Come out and enjoy a fun evening and donate to a good cause. All proceeds will benefit the Lara Family House Fire Fund. If you are able to attend, please RSVP here. Tickets will be $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
