Social Media Monitoring

Many students are exposed to social media platforms and are engaging in those platforms on a daily basis. Popular platforms include: Instagram and Snapchat. We want to empower our parents to understand their students involvement on these platforms and support your students healthy engagement by frequently monitoring their interactions and experience when engaging on social media. Below are some tips of how to monitor your students social media activity:

  1. Check your childs social media accounts daily, including their direct messages
  2. Become their friend on these platforms
  3. Only allow them to engage in social media on their computer
  4. KidLogger: allows you place parents locks on your students account

BOYS TO MEN TEXAS MENTORING (BTM)

The BTM Program provides boys with group mentoring and role modeling so that they may learn integrity, accountability, compassion, and respect for others. The BTM Program helps boys develop personal responsibility and guides them toward a healthy manhood. Well-trained and background checked volunteer mentors listen, encourage, and provide the necessary tools and support boys need to make positive changes in their lives.

7th Grade Science – November Lab

7th Grade Science Teacher, Timothy Floyd engaged students in a Lab this week that allowed students to dissect a chicken wing to understand the physical anatomy inside an animal.
