COVID-19 Vaccines Available for Children Ages 5-11

Hello, Northbrook parents! Earlier this month, the CDC recommended that children ages 5-11 get the pediatric COVID vaccine (click here to read the CDC's media statement). For the last couple weeks, the pediatric vaccine has been widely available--including at easily accessible locations like Walgreens and CVS. I know that many of our youngest Knights have gotten the vaccine recently, and I'm very excited about that because I believe that vaccination is our greatest defense against COVID. If you have gotten your child vaccinated already, thank you! You've made Northbrook a safer place. If you haven't, I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. During fall break would be ideal. I took my children to Walgreens to get vaccinated last week (my daughter is six, and my son is eight), and we were in and out in no time. If you have any questions about the pediatric vaccine, please let us know.

You are invited to our 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland family event on Tuesday, December 14th. Join us for a night of lights and holiday treats. Take your picture with Santa for $5 and help support YES Prep NMS.

 Honor Roll Celebration

On November 17th the Student Support Team celebrated 136 students who made honor roll in quarter 1. We are extremely proud of these students and made sure we took a moment to celebrate their hard work and dedication to their studies by rewarding them with a cereal bar. Students got to pick from some of their favorite cereal and have time to hang out with friends and take a moment to acknowledge themselves for hard work! Way to go Knights!

Student Sweatshirt – Sale 11/29 – 12/13

As we head into the colder months, we want to make sure all our students have layers of protection from the cold. In September, students had an opportunity to submit a sweatshirt design for their grade level. Grade Level teachers picked their favorite design and students will be able to purchase those sweatshirts from November 29 to December 13 for $10 dollars. The designs for each grade level is below,
